A portion of the Winnipeg airport was evacuated after an unattended bag was left in the departure level. It was reopened by 2:30 p.m.
The departures level of the Winnipeg James Armstrong International Airport before the security check in was evacuated at around 1:30 p.m.
RCMP and emergency crews arrived and cleared the bag. The evacuation lasted about an hour and people were being let back into the airport.
Delays are expected but it won’t be known how long they’ll be until everyone has been checked in.
