Collision in front of Flamboro Downs leaves woman in critical condition

An 83 year old woman has been rushed to hospital in critical condition following a collision in front of Flamboro Downs.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the woman was exiting the parking lot to make a left hand turn onto Highway 5 at about 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred with a loaded dump truck headed westbound.

Schmidt says the driver of the dump truck did not sustain serious injuries.

Highway 5 was closed in both directions between Brock Road and Middletown Road for about five hours.
