Water shut off in Okanagan Falls

Otonabee Conservation is urging residents to reduce water usage. File

Water will be shut off to residents of a portion of Okanagan Falls on Thursday and possibly Friday.

The Okanagan Falls Irrigation District is installing two valves in the lower zone of the system.

The affected areas includes Hawthorne Place, Hawthorne Crescent, Camlyn Court, Cedar Street south of 11th Avenue and part of Ash Street.

Residents of those areas should have already received a notice delivered to their homes.

The irrigation district is asking people who live in those homes to have enough water on hand to last for several hours each day.
