Members of the NHL’s Board of Governors are meeting for the first time since the lockout started in September.
Owners and players made contact early Wednesday morning and were expected to return to negotiations later in the day.
The sides are looking to build on the progress made Tuesday, which NHLPA special counsel Steve Fehr described as the best day yet in more than five months of talks.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is scheduled to speak at 1 p.m. ET with New York City media following a board of governors meeting:
