The Saskatchewan government has decided who will be the new owners of 50 retail liquor stores in the province.
Jeremy Harrison, the minister responsible for the Saskatchewan liquor and gaming authority (SLGA), said they received more proposals from prospective owners than they anticipated and the process has been a major undertaking.
“The successful proponents range from independent businesses and entrepreneurs to larger established chains as well as six locations that will be owned and operated by affected government liquor store employees,” Harrison said.
