The West Vancouver Blue Bus service may be disrupted for commuters soon if a strike goes ahead.
On Monday, drivers are expected to escalate their job action to a full-scale strike.
Their union and the District of West Vancouver are in the middle of a contract dispute. Partial job action began earlier this week when an overtime ban was issued.
If a full strike goes ahead it would be a big disruption for the 18,000 people who use the Blue Bus service every day. Ferry passengers who take the bus to Horseshoe Bay would also be affected.
Some of the issues on the table include working conditions and benefits. New talks are planned this weekend and it’s hoped a strike will be avoided.
