RCMP investigate suspicious death in Bonnyville, Alta.

Police are searching for a vehicle as they investigate the suspicious death of a senior in Bonnyville, Alta.

Bonnyville RCMP said they were called to a home in the town northeast of Edmonton Sunday afternoon, where they found a deceased elderly man. The death was deemed as suspicious and the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit was called to lead the investigation.

RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding a vehicle they believe belonged to the victim, which is missing from the home. The vehicle is described as a 1974 light green Dodge D200 pickup, with a large white and green canopy on the back and Alberta licence plate BES-165.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton to confirm the man’s identity and the cause of his death.
