The B.C. government is looking for someone who can build a massive bridge.
It has issued a Request for Qualifications for companies interested in building the George Massey Tunnel Replacement Project.
The project includes a 10-lane bridge and widening 24 kilometres of Highway 99 from Bridgeport Road in Richmond to Highway 91 in Delta.
The project will be paid for through user tolls, which have not yet been set.
Construction will start next year with completion in 2022.
At the same time the Regional District is about to roll out its concerns about the massive bridge.
Metro Vancouver officials will hold a media briefing Wednesday to identify impacts of the 10-lane bridge.
Metro Vancouver says it wants to work with the province to reduce congestion in an environmentally sustainable manner on Highway 99.
