Winnipeg was the first major Canadian city to introduce a ban on three types of pit bulls back in 1990.

The ban was put in place by city council after a series of high profile attacks that led to serious injuries.

On Friday, people will be walking from the MTS Centre to City Hall starting at 9 a.m.

The group is hoping council will reconsider the long standing ban.
