WINNIPEG — The newly elected conservative government says it will update Manitobans on the province’s finances Wednesday.

The last update was given prior to the spring election, and predicted the deficit to be $773 million by fiscal year end.  That’s about $351 million more than projected losses in 2015.

On Monday the government outlined its top priorities in a five-page speech from the throne.

Much of the speech contained promises made during the election.

A budget explaining how it plans to pay for those promises will be released May 31.
