Fish and Wildlife officers were forced to tranquilize a moose running loose in north Calgary at around 11 a.m. on Monday.
Police started receiving calls about the errant animal at around 8 a.m.
Throughout the morning, the female moose was spotted along Thorndale Road N.W., McKnight Boulevard N.W., in residential areas and even on the Highland Golf and Country Club.

Fish and Wildlife officers eventually tranquilized the animal in the 400 block of Simons Road N.W.
Members of the Calgary Fire Department and Calgary Police Service then helped load the moose into a Fish and Wildlife truck so it could be relocated to a safe location.
