An inoperable parking brake sent a delivery truck rolling down a hilly street in Massachusetts Friday, causing damage to a parked car and a porch.
According to CBS News Boston, the Bob’s Furniture delivery truck started to hurl down the street forcing a delivery person in the back of the truck to leap out, breaking his hand in the fall.
“It sounded like a damn bomb went off,” 78-year-old Helen Gallati told WHDH 7 News.
Gallati was sleeping when the truck rammed into her home’s front porch but their security camera caught the whole incident.
“I said uh-oh, there’s no delivery,” Steve Gallati said to WHDH 7 News. “I saw furniture and everything on the lawn.”
Bob’s Furniture was delivering a couch 300 feet away when the parking brake failed causing the truck to roll down the street.
