Winnipeg legend Burton Cummings honoured at 2016 Juno Awards

The 2016 Juno Awards took place Sunday night in Calgary with many stars walking away with big titles. Winnipeg legend Burton Cummings was honoured with a special tribute to his iconic career.

Cummings received a standing ovation as he was recognized with an induction into the Canadian Hall of Fame for his solo work. The former Guess Who frontman decided to dedicate that award to his hometown of Winnipeg.

Cummings said it was one of the biggest days of his life and that he was so nervous he almost started crying.

After receiving the award, he returned to the stage for a tribute performance, which also featured Jann Arden and the Tenors.
