It was a frigid night outdoors for a missing snowboarder from the U.S.
North Shore Rescue found the man after an eight-hour search on Mount Seymour.
Search crews were alerted last night when the 26-year-old didn’t meet up with his brother.
Rescuers believe he may have went out-of-bounds accidentally, mistaking snowshoe trails for a ski trail.
The man was cold, soaking wet and tired when crews found him early this morning.
“He’s in good shape,” said Don Jardine from North Shore Rescue. “He’d actually fallen in a creek and totally immersed himself up in the snow line. We were able to follow his tracks as far as the forest below the snow line and then we lost his tracks but we found him with voice contact.”
