Ottawa police say a man has died after being shot in the city’s east end.
Paramedics say one person was taken to hospital in critical condition after a shooting (at Ogilvie Road and Jasmine Crescent).
Police confirm the man later died of his injuries.
Witnesses report hearing three or four gunshots in the area and seeing two vehicles speed away from the scene.
Police had cordoned off the intersection late Tuesday night to investigate the city’s fifth homicide of 2016.
Police have not released the victim’s name, nor any information about possible suspects.
