CALGARY – Calgary golfers were swinging at Fox Hollow Golf Course on Tuesday.
Mild winter weather allowed for an 11 a.m. open.
The 6500 yard course will use temporary greens for their tee times.
A round of nine holes will cost $17 and 18 holes will be $25.
“This is the second earliest opening day in our history,” head golf pro Greg Griffths said. “We have booked 60 players for the day.”
“We’ll stay open as long as the frost is off the grass and there’s no snow and ice on the golf course,” Griffith said.
Golf Pro Greg Griffith joins Doug Vaessen to discuss the course’s early opening due to mild winter weather in Calgary
Fox Hollow also gave eager golfers a chance to swing their drivers in February 2015.
