RCMP say three campers who did not return home on schedule Sunday night have been found and are safe.
The Mounties received a report that three males from Pictou County had gone to a remote camp in Guysborough County the night before and had not returned as expected.
A search-and-rescue operation was launched and the campers were found Sunday around 10:30 a.m. They explained they had been stranded overnight due to the heavy snowfall the previous night.
