POINTE-CLAIRE– West Islanders streamed into the Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home for a visitation following the passing of Dr. John Bray.
Bray died suddenly in Beaconsfield on Dec. 30. He was a fixture at the Lakeshore General Hospital for almost 40 years and developed a strong reputation as an approachable and caring doctor.
“He is just a landmark for all the women on the West Island,” said Nathalie Pare, a former patient.
“It’s a terrible, terrible loss for all of us.”
Bray’s funeral is scheduled for the morning of Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. at Cedar Park United Church at 204 Lakeview Avenue in Pointe-Claire. The family is asking for donations for the Heart & Stroke Foundation or any charity instead of flowers.
“His legacy lives through our kids,” Pare said. “Because he brought them into this world.”
