Arguably, one of the biggest concerts of the year is the Super Bowl halftime show. Full of pomp and usually a gigantic spectacle, the show has seen some pretty iconic moments in the past (Nipplegate, we’re looking at you).

This will be the first time the band has headlined the halftime show, and it will follow right on the heels of their seventh album release. Their latest, titled “A Head Full of Dreams,” is coming out on Dec. 4.

The band plans to tour in 2016 and perhaps into 2017, and it’s expected that tickets will go on sale shortly after their appearance at the Super Bowl. In the past, ticket sales for artists like Katy Perry have gotten a large boost after playing at the massive sports event.
