Breakfast Buzz: What do you plan to do with your savings from the pump?

SASKATOON – If you’re part of the 84 per cent of Saskatonians who uses their vehicle as their primary source of transportation, you’ll have noticed the lower gas prices. According to gasbuddy.com, prices are down across the country and Saskatoon is among the lowest in Canada sitting between 84 and 88 cents a litre.

According to GasBuddy’s co-founder Jason Toews, a price drop is typical in the winter.

“When the weather starts taking a turn for the worse, the days are shorter, people just generally don’t like to be around town, driving around nearly as much,” said Toews.

“Because of that, the demand for gasoline goes down and so does the price.”
