SAINT JOHN – An expert in DNA from the RCMP lab in Ottawa was on the stand on day 42 of the Dennis Oland murder trial in New Brunswick.

Tom Suzanski testified as the Crown continued to focus on a brown sports jacket found in the home of the accused.

Another analyst testified on Tuesday that five DNA samples taken from the jacket match the profile of his father.

The Crown wrapped up its case Wednesday. Court will resume Thursday.

Dennis Oland has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the bludgeoning death of Richard Oland at his Saint John office on July 7, 2011.
