Saturday Night Live reveals Star Wars: The Force Awakens screen tests

Can’t wait for the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise to open?

Saturday Night Live took a shot at quenching fan’s thirst for more Wookies with some screen tests for the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Of course these were just casting auditions and just because you’re a celebrity, it doesn’t mean you’re going to land the part.

For example, “Sophia Vergara” of Modern Family fame just didn’t seem right for the part she was reading for and even might have had her movies mixed up as she professed her love for Minions.

Former NBA star “Shaquille O’Neal” auditioned for the part of Chewbacca and one has to wonder if maybe he was right for the part given his size and the lack of lines for Chewy.

Soccer icon “David Beckham” also showed up for a screen test, but paired with the BB-8 robot, which is shaped like a soccer ball, director JJ Abrams probably didn’t appear to get what he was looking for in terms of chemistry.
