New ‘Star Wars’ trailer shows all is not well with The Force

New footage for Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens keeps coming, with just over a month until the Canadian premiere.

Fans have been salivating over every single frame, in some cases breaking it down by the second in efforts to figure out the plot and characters.

In this latest 60-second trailer, Rey (Daisy Ridley) meets Finn (John Boyega) and we catch a glimpse of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) shooting a blaster and handing Rey a lightsaber. There are TIE fighters everywhere, and at least one explosion every few seconds.

It looks like an action-packed ride, that’s for sure.

A previous version of this story called Han Solo’s gun a “phaser.” In the ‘Star Wars’ universe it’s called a “blaster.” The change has been made and we regret the error. (Also we wholly admit we got it mixed up with ‘Star Trek,’ a mistake we won’t make again.)
