Liberal candidate Carla Qualtrough has been elected in the riding of Delta in B.C.
Qualtrough took 49.3 per cent of the vote, beating out Conservative Kerry-Lynne Findlay, B.C.’s senior cabinet minister, who finished with 32.7 per cent.
Jeremy Leveque of the NDP finished third with 14.9 per cent.
Elections predictions suggested this was going to be one of the tightest three-way races in B.C.

NDP: Jeremy Leveque, health care expert and PhD candidate
Liberal: Carla Qualtrough, lawyer and Paralympian swimmer

This riding contains all of the municipality of Delta, which includes the neighbourhoods of Tsawwassen, Ladner, and North Delta. Just 10.2 per cent of people are considered low income, the lowest number in British Columbia.
