Notley on tour across Canada and U.S., trying to woo investors

ALBERTA – Premier Rachel Notley flies to Montreal Sunday, where she’s hoping to convince business leaders to invest in Alberta.

Notley is on a week-long trip that will also take her to New York and Toronto.

On Monday, she’ll address Montreal’s chamber of commerce and meet with business leaders.

The goal is to convince potential investors that Alberta’s economy can flourish despite a slump in oil.

READ MORE: Notley was in Calgary Thursday to address municipal leaders from across the province at the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) annual convention.

She is highlighting the competitive tax regime in Alberta and the fact the province has the lowest level of provincial debt in the country.

The estimated cost for the premier, three political staff, one public servant and two protection unit members is $24,000.
