Serious crash in Surrey sends at least 2 people to hospital

At least two people are recovering in hospital after a serious car crash in Surrey.

It happened when an SUV smashed into the side of a car at 132nd Street and 101st Avenue around 10:30 last night.

The damage was bad enough that it took firefighters nearly an hour to cut the driver out of the car using the jaws of life.

No word yet on the cause of the crash, but it was drizzling at the time and the road was wet.
