Weekend storm closes U of Manitoba’s Active Living Centre

WINNIPEG – Flooding has prompted the University of Manitoba to close its Active Living Centre Monday. It will remain closed until further notice, an announcement from the Winnipeg university says.

Heavy rainfall Saturday flooded the building’s mechanical room and efforts are being made to reopen the fitness centre as soon as possible, the announcement says.

Change rooms and showers are still accessible, the university said.
