UPDATE: Missing quadriplegic man found safe

WATCH: A major search along the Surrey-Langley border today for a missing man. As Julia Foy tells us, officials are especially concerned about finding David Vickery because he is quadriplegic, and may be distraught.

UPDATE: A quadriplegic man who went missing in Surrey has been found.

According to Surrey RCMP, David Vickery was picked up by members of the Vancouver Police Department last night.

Global News has spoken with Vickery’s family, who say he was found unconscious and is currently in hospital.

Surrey Search and Rescue is helping local RCMP look for a missing quadriplegic man.

David Vickery was reported missing on Saturday and was last seen in the 19500-block of Fraser Hwy. He has not been seen or heard from since.

Police say they are concerned for Vickery’s well-being as he may be distraught.

Vickery is described as a Caucasian male, 35 years old, 6’1″ tall, 199 lbs, with brown eyes and short brown hair. He was last seen riding in a black powered wheelchair and dressed in black.
