Hundreds walk in hopes of lighting Thelma Krull’s way home

WINNIPEG – Around 300 people gathered Saturday night for a symbolic walk to light Thelma Krull’s way home.

The 57 year old grandmother went missing July 11th after leaving for walk in East Kildonan.

“I am amazed at the turnout and support,” said Robert Krull, Thelma’s husband. “Thelma would have been so grateful.”

The group of family, friends and complete strangers walked from Valley Gardens Community Club to near where Thelma lives. The followed the route she would have taken on the Saturday she went for her walk.

People carried flashlights and electronic candles as the group walked through East Kildonan around 9:30 p.m.

“We want to have her home and just keep looking,” said Robert. “Keep your eyes open.”

Thelma’s glasses were found at the Valley Gardens Community Club on Tuesday.

The homicide unit has taken the lead in the search and the police have admitted they are “grasping at straws.”
