Man arrested in city’s 13th homicide

MONTREAL – Police have arrested 29-year-old Kwasi Alfred Benjamin in relation to a homicide that took place May 18.

He faces one charge of first degree murder after the body of 29-year-old Nellie Angutiguluk was discovered in an apartment building in Côte-des-Neiges.

The death was considered suspicious until investigators ruled it as a homicide.

WATCH: Police asked the public’s help

Detectives had set up a command post at 7225 de Nancy street, just off Jean-Talon street Ouest in order to locate a suspect.

It was the city’s 13th homicide.
