Man threatens to return to Saskatoon business with gun: police

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police are laying charges against a 29-year-old man who reportedly threatened to go home, get a gun and return to a Saskatoon business. Officers were called to an altercation just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

Police say a man got into an argument with an employee at the business which is located in the 1000-block of Taylor Street East.

Witnesses provided officers with information that helped lead them to the suspect in a vehicle at Melrose Avenue and Ruth Street. He was arrested without incident and no firearm was found.

The accused is now facing charges of assault and uttering threats. He will be held in custody until he is able to appear before a justice of the peace on Sunday.
