REGINA – The Saskatchewan Roughriders held their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday night and once again the football team is raking in the cash.

The football club recorded a profit of $2.2 million, with operating revenues of $42.4 million.

Ticket sales for the team generated $15 million in revenue for 2014 – down slightly from 2013, but that’s because Mosaic Stadium returned to its normal capacity after the removal of extra seats from the Grey Cup.

For the third time in five years, the Riders exceeded $9 million in merchandise sales with a total of $9.4 million, driven by strong online traffic and high demand for the team’s new signature jersey.

The Riders open up the 2015 Regular season at home against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on June 27th.
