West Kelowna–A downed power line is to blame for about 5,000 homes and businesses losing power Wednesday afternoon.
The line come down along boucherie Road near Quails gate winery around 5:30 p.m.
Bc hydro reports affected customers are south of Hudson Road and Highway 97.
The downed line initially sparked a small grass fire, but neighbors doused it before fire crews arrived and put it out completely.
