A spokesperson for the Lester B Pearson School Board said it is trying to cope with deep cuts handed down by the province, however Howell doesn’t think plans to use parent volunteers to fill the gap will work.

“I hope the board doesn’t plan to use parents because I haven’t had a volunteer in the library for three years.”

Protesters said they’ll be back at the school board on June 29, for the next board meeting.
