TORONTO – Police are asking the public for help in finding the person who was behind the wheel in a fatal hit and run Sunday.
Officials are asking for surveillance camera footage from businesses along Bloor Street that might provide any clues.
Nelisa Damota, 39, was struck and killed while crossing the road near Bloor and Dovercourt.
Police have found the car believed to be involved in the fatal collision.
Police had released a vehicle description of an older model white, four-door Mercedes Benz.
Forensics are now examining the vehicle but police are still looking for the driver.
