SASKATOON – It was a busy night for the Saskatoon Fire Department. Firefighters were called out to deal with four fires, three within two blocks of each other.
The first call came in just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Crews were called to 1730 1st Avenue North for a garage fire.
Firefighters arrived to find a single-detached garage that had one vehicle inside in flames. An aggressive attack was started and the blaze was brought under control in 30 minutes.
Around 45 minutes later, firefighters were called to another garage fire, this time at 326 Avenue F South. Crews arrived to find heavy flame and smoke coming from the rear of the garage.
The fire was brought under control in 15 minutes.

The third call came in at 10:51 p.m., this for a vehicle fire at 434 Avenue F South. Firefighters arrived to find a fully involved vehicle, which was quickly brought under control.
The final call came in around 12:15 a.m. Thursday for a structure fire at 405 Avenue F South, where firefighters arrived to find flames at the rear of a house.
The fire was brought under control before it could spread to the interior of the home.
No one was injured in any of the fires.
Police say the last three fires are being treated as suspicious.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the fires.
