MONTREAL – On Sunday afternoon, a motorcyclist was fatally injured in Laval taking the Pie-IX south exit on the Highway 440.
The motorcyclist, whose age has yet to be confirmed, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole. The man was taken to the hospital, but died shortly after.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) does not yet know the cause of the accident.
The exit is closed as collision experts investigate the scene.
Earlier in the day, a three-way car collision involving two allegedly impaired drivers took place on Highway 440.
The SQ confirmed to Global News that the two accidents were unrelated and took place at slightly different locations on the highway.
