Driver ticketed in near miss with motorcycle on Highway 9

WINNIPEG — The driver of the vehicle that nearly collided head-on with Ryan Evans during his first motorcycle ride of the season in March has been identified.

The 65-year-old driver of the car has been given a ticket for careless driving and will receive a fine. The fine will be determined by a judge when he appears in court.

A Go Pro camera mounted on the front of Evans’ bike recorded the near miss in March on Highway 9 as he was heading towards Gimli going 100 km/h.
