WEST KELOWNA – With gardening season upon us, the District of West Kelowna is reminding its residents about the community’s year-round water restrictions.
Stage one regulations are in effect 365 days a year and do not permit any sprinkling between the hours of 11 a.m. to 6 p.m..
Residential and commercial properties with even numbered addresses are only allowed to water on even calendar days, while those with odd numbered addresses are only permitted to irrigate on odd calendar days.
The district says over the past several years, water conservation has had a positive effect in the reduction of peak flows and overall water consumption.
