ANAHEIM, Calif. — Don’t expect the Winnipeg Jets to change much against the Anaheim Ducks in Game 2 after losing the series opener.

That includes hitting everything that moves, one of the Jets’ hallmarks they intend to keep up as part of their response to Thursday night’s 4-2 defeat.

Winnipeg and Anaheim combined for 83 hits in Game 1, and Ducks forward Matt Beleskey expects them to reach 100 at some point.

Of course it’s not the number that matters, but the physical toll it takes on players.

That could be felt as the series wears on, back to Winnipeg for Game 3 and beyond, but mentally the Jets feel prepared for this situation.

Needing to win games down the stretch late in the regular season has players feeling quite familiar and comfortable coming off a road loss, captain Andrew Ladd said.

It’s not clear if the Jets will get Mathieu Perreault (lower-body injury) back for Game 2.

Perreault took part in an optional practice Friday at Honda Center.
