SASKATOON – Two Saskatoon men have plans in mind after winning the lottery. One of lucky individuals is a half-million dollars richer, according to Saskatchewan Lotteries.

Toban De Rooy bought his $10 Classic Ruby Scratch ‘N Win ticket at the Wilkie Reddi Mart.

He first scratched the bonus area and didn’t win anything but kept at it and could not believe what he saw.

“I saw 500 and I thought ‘awesome, I won $500,’ but then I kept scratching and it said $500,000,” said De Rooy.

“I called my wife after a couple minutes and asked her if she wanted to go to work tomorrow or if she wanted to stay home for the rest of her life.”
