Okanagan forecast: sunglasses needed for Thursday

Weather update: Tuesday March 31th 4:30pm

Mother Nature didn’t really fool us with anything unseasonal on April Fools’ Day. Typical Spring weather – we had breaks of sun, then some daytime heating with isolated pockets of precip (including hail in some areas).

A more stable pattern is in store Thursday with mostly sunny conditions to start, with a few more clouds in the afternoon.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

However expect to see increasing and thickening cloud on Friday ahead of a frontal system with the potential for showers by Friday evening.

So far the potential for showers remain minimal for any egg hunters on Saturday and early Sunday. Although there is some uncertainty and disagreement, the biggest chance of precip over the weekend looks to be late Sunday afternoon or evening.

Thursday’s daytime high range: 7 to 15C

More details coming up at 5, 6:30 and 11pm!
