WINNIPEG – A semi-trailer truck spilled groceries on the Perimeter Highway near Oak Bluff when it rolled over early Monday morning, police say.
The 45-year-old semi driver wasn’t hurt when the truck rolled at about 1:30 a.m. at McGillivray Boulevard (Highway 3), Headingley RCMP said.
Southbound lanes of the Perimeter Highway were still closed at 11:15 a.m., although a northbound lane that had been closed throughout the morning rush hour was reopened at that time. Traffic was being rerouted onto a side road while the road was cleaned up.
The truck had to be completely emptied before it could be put back on its wheels.
Police ask drivers to slow down and watch for emergency workers in the area.
RCMP are investigating the crash.
