WEST KELOWNA — Don’t be alarmed if you see smoke rising from the Rose Valley area of West Kelowna.
The BC Wildlife Management Branch is doing another controlled burn Wednesday in the in the northern section of Rose Valley Regional Park
The Regional District of Central Okanagan says venting index is adequate for burning.
Meantime, another fire hazard mitigation project is getting underway in West Kelowna.
Crews will be falling trees along a four kilometre stretch of Trepanier Creek Regional Park starting today in an attempt to reduce the safety hazard posed by dead and damaged trees from the 2012 wildfire.
Debris piles may be burned later this year.
