UPDATE: Darren Wheatley has been arrested in Surrey.
Vancouver police are warning a high-risk sex offender is at large and wanted Canada-wide for breaching his release conditions.
Darren Wheatley, who is a two-time Federal offender, missed his court-imposed curfew lat night. The 45-year-old Wheatley is currently serving a 10-year sentence for two counts of sexual assault, sexual assault causing bodily harm and two counts of overcoming resistance by choking, following three separate attacks on adult women in Ontario.
Police describe Wheatley as Aboriginal, 45 years old, 6′ tall, 230 pounds and has a large build. He has short black hair, brown eyes, tattoos of a cow, a skull and a feather on his upper right arm and a script design on his upper left arm.
Anyone who sees Wheatley or knows of his whereabouts is asked not to approach him and call 911 immediately.
