Man dies in stolen vehicle crash in Abbotsford

VANCOUVER – A man died early Tuesday morning after a stolen vehicle crashed in Abbotsford.

Police say they received calls at 4:24 a.m. of a single vehicle crash in the area of Wells Line and Smith Line Roads. When officers arrived on scene, two men were still in the 2003 Toyota Tacoma, while another man and a woman were able to walk away from the crash.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, while the others were taken to hospital for treatment.

The Tacoma was found to be stolen from central Abbotsford.

The investigation into the fatal crash continues with major crime detectives and collision reconstructionists.
