EDMONTON — Edmonton police have confirmed the death of a man earlier this week was a homicide.
Police say Mohamed Ahmed Adam died from gunshot wounds. The 33-year-old’s body was discovered outside a north-central Edmonton business early Monday morning.
Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 3:30 a.m. Monday in the Prince Charles neighbourhood, and arrived to find the man’s body near the Zembaba 2 restaurant on 118 Avenue near 125 Street.
Police tape was put up around the sidewalk in front of several businesses, including the restaurant.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and continue to investigate.
