TORONTO — A new show featuring music and video from the Star Trek franchise is boldy going to more than 100 cities in the U.S. and Canada next year, promoters announced Thursday.
Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage will go on tour from January to April.
Dates and cities have not yet been announced.
“The Star Trek franchise has for many years been an important and meaningful part of our culture in so many ways,” explained Justin Freer, producer and founder of CineConcerts, in a release.
“This exciting concert experience featuring the greatest music and visuals spanning five decades will be an extraordinary and memorable event.”
The show will feature a live symphony orchestra performing music written for the television and film franchise while iconic footage is shown on a 40-foot screen.
A pre-tour performance is scheduled for London’s Royal Albert Hall on Nov. 1.
