CALGARY – Former Calgary city councillor and mayoral candidate Ric McIver has successfully made his jump back into politics.
During a vote Monday night, McIver won the PC nomination for the southeast riding of Calgary Hays in a landslide victory.

He was up against incumbent Art Johnston.
McIver says he is ready for the legislature, saying he will fight for southeast Calgary rec centres among other things.
McIver served as city councillor for Ward 12 in Calgary for nine years.
