HALIFAX – The heavy rain has created a mess at some Halifax schools, and the Halifax Regional School Board said some schools are closed Monday to allow some extra time to clean up after roof leaks.

- Beechville-Lakeside-Timberlea Senior Elementary (3-5)
- Colonel John Stuart Elementary
- St. Joseph’s-A. MacKay Elementary
- Astral Drive Junior High
- Prince Andrew High
- Seaside Elementary
- JL Ilsley High
The Beechville-Lakeside-Timeberlea Junior Elementary school (P-2) is open Monday, and children grades P-2 in the EXCEL program will be moved to the Junior Building for the day.
The Early Childhood Centre at the Halifax Christian Academy is also closed Monday because of a roof leak.
